Background

Purpose

The Radicle Ecosystem Growth Fund was setup to fund initiatives that drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of the Radicle stack.

Approach

We worked together as a committee to develop an initial strategy to deliver on the intended objectives. The full strategy can be found here.

A brief summary of the strategy was to support the development and help drive adoption of radicle products and protocols. We would do this by focusing on Developers, DAOs, and dApp integrations. Success would be measured by number of active developers, active integrations, and TVL in drips protocol.

We aimed to fund projects in the following categories

  1. Growth contributors
  2. Hackathon/event sponsorships
  3. Content/media channel sponsorships
  4. Educational content sponsorships
  5. Product driven growth development
  6. Gas reimbursements

Conference sponsorships Growth contributors wanted to attend conferences to connect with the team and network with the ecosystem $2,628.99
Community DAO sponsorship We funded womenbuildweb3 as a developer education and diversity focused DAO. They invested this amount in the onboarding and education of developers into the web3 ecosystem and incorporated radicle tooling into their syllabus. $20,000.00
Early user token rewards We designed a programme to onboard early users that would provide engineer teams with valuable feedback and be rewarded with 200 RAD each. $6,960.00
Developer education contributors We funded the development of a developer relations strategy and then 3 contributors that would begin educating developers on radicle and growing awareness of radicle amongst developers with developer marketing. $50,700.00
Launcher contributors We funded contributors that had experience in different verticals to help us explore integrations and develop partnerships with projects. $15,526.22
Marketing contributors We had product marketing and podcast contributors join to develop these initiatives $24,000.00
Cohort programme contributors A group of contributors with experience in entrepreneur ecosystem building came together to develop a programme for onboarding and educating community members with peer learning. $40,077.42
